Description
Since the 13th century there have been coins called “ducats” in Europe. From the 16th century onward these were minted in Austria. This coin is a re-minting of the Austrian Mint with the motif of Emperor Franz Joseph I. In 1915 the historical ducat was last minted, hence the year on the back. It also depicts the double-headed eagle of the Habsburg dynasty.
